We have also reconsidered the traditional remuneration structure of managed fund products, and to that end, instead of receiving a flat percentage fee for our funds management services, we will only be paid a performance fee (plus a small capped expense recovery). In a very real sense this greatly assists in aligning our interests with those of our clients, as Officium will only make money when our clients make money.

While each fund will have its own Investment Philosophy, Officium focuses on producing attractive risk adjusted absolute returns for our clients, and to that end, seek to do only two things: 

1. Minimise the risk of medium to long term capital loss; and then, and only then
2. Provide reasonable returns relative to the level of risk taken.

To achieve these goals we create products that access the best investment managers that we can locate in each investment class and seek to align Officium’s interests with our clients (through the performance fee only structure).
