Key Personnel

Mr David Guy LL.B M. App. Fin. A.S.I.A
Chairman/Director

David is the Chairman of Western Pacific Group Holdings and Managing Director of its subsidiary, Western Pacific Asset Management.  He has worked in the financial services industry and with the Western Pacific Group since 1996.

Prior to commencing with us, David was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland. David has completed a Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Queensland in 1993 and a Masters degree in Applied Finance and Investment at the Securities Institute of Australia in 2003. 

David was instrumental in formalising the unique portfolio management style which has been developed internally at the Western Pacific Group, and since 1997 has been a senior member of our Investment Committee.  Since 2001, David has been the director responsible for investment management and research within the Western Pacific Group and since 2003 has been Chairman of the Western Pacific Group.


Mr John Nunan
Chief Executive Officer

John holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and Bachelor of Laws degree.
 
John joined Western Pacific as Chief Operating Officer in early 2005 after spending nearly 8 years working for one of Australia's leading banks in Sydney, Melbourne and London.





Mr Tim Donohue
Director/Authorised Representative

Tim is a Certified Financial Planner and he holds a Degree in Economics, Accounting and Finance from Monash University and a Diploma of Financial Planning. 

Tim has been in the Superannuation and Financial Planning industry since 1987.  He commenced his career as a qualified accountant at Price Waterhouse and is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.



Mr Dean Farmer
Director

 
After completing a degree at the University of Western Australia in 1984, Dean worked in the superannuation industry until 1994, when he joined Western Pacific as a senior advisor. He is a member of both the Western Pacific investment committee and the Western Pacific Special Situations Fund investment committee.
 
He operates his practice in conjunction with two Accounting firms, providing investment and strategy advice to high net worth individuals and small businesses.


Mr Drew Potts CFP
Director/Authorised Representative

Drew holds a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation via the Financial Planning Association of Australia and is also a member of the US Financial Planning Association.

Drew has been a client advisor since joining the financial services industry in 1986. Drew is the managing partner of a regionally based financial planning business in Port Augusta, South Australia and is also a Director of the Adelaide based financial services company, The Calder Group Pty Ltd.

Drew provides specialist planning and investment advice tailored to the needs of closely held family businesses and high net worth individuals and regularly participates in international study tours to complement his already extensive knowledge in these areas.

Mr Kieran Ryan
Director

Kieran came to Western Pacific in 1992 after 25 years corporate experience in Western Australia and Victoria. He holds a Diploma of Financial Services.

Kieran first became involved in the superannuation industry in 1985 and has undertaken economic research and lectures for a private institute since 1972. He has been the independent financial adviser to two of the states largest superannuation funds and currently holds advisory appointments with a large professional association and accountancy practice.

Devi Chhana
Practice Communications Manager

Devi Chhana commenced with Western Pacific in 1998 working with the founders and senior advisory team to develop the Western Pacific Dealer Group and Funds Management value proposition.

Devi has since progressed her career to her current role as Dealer Services Manager overseeing the Group’s compliance function, training and professional development, coordination of the annual Dealer Group and Director and Senior Advisor Conferences, the Sponsorship and Marketing Programs and relationships with key service providers.

Devi works closely with the Group CEO, implementing and coordinating the strategic imperatives of the Western Pacific Group Holdings Board and ensuring that the internal communication process, assistance and support is effectively implemented with advisers and management. 

Maree Alilovic BEc DipFP
Practice Development Manager

Maree joined Western Pacific as the Head of Paraplanning in October 2005.  This role co-ordinates the development of systems and processes for the Group's paraplanning function.

Maree joined the financial planning industry in 2000. Prior to this she was working in Human Resources for one of Australia's major banks.

Maree holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Diploma of Financial Planning.
